The Wake Zone

Three Bedroom Oceanview House, Located in Oak Island

My first trip to a North Carolina beach and it was stunning! The pictures of the house accurately reflect what I was welcomed to when I opened the door. It was clean and bright. When you drive up to the house, the windows to the left of the porch are the kitchen so you can sit inside at the table and just watch the ocean or you can walk right outside and rock on the porch and watch the ocean. My husband and I spent a week here. We spent most of our time on the rocking chairs or the beach. We visited Southport, took our car on the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry, enjoyed the river scenery and visited and walked around Fort Fisher. For the most part, we enjoyed sitting on the beach all afternoon, walking on the beach to see sunsets. We visited Captain Stanley's for dinner (excellent food!) and the Provision Co in Southport where we could sit and eat on the water. I could see this as a fantastic place to bring an entire young family or, as in my case, a quiet, sunny, clean, tranquil week away with my husband.
